There are two ways that you can feed your baby until about 4 months old, breastfeeding or formula. Sadly, breastfeeding wasn't really an option for me, I was not gifted enough to make enough milk to solely feed Kailee on my breastfeed. So, in a state of desperation I had to start giving her formula. At first we just used the supplementing kind, and tried to give her what breast milk I could supply. Eventually even that wasn't enough, so we had to switch completely to formula. At first we used the liquid concentrated Gerber gentle and that seemed to be working okay, and then the spitting up started. So then we tried Similac for Spit up, and that worked for about a week. So, then we asked her doctor which formula we should try and he suggested Gerber Soothe which is what she has been on for about a month now. However, the spitting up hasnt stopped. We have tried adding rice cereal to her formula to make it thicker so that she can keep it down easier, but she still spits up. And the rice cereal makes her constipated. So, then we have to give her diluted prune juice for her constipation. And now we have tried oatmeal cereal, because my step-mom told me it wouldnt constipate her like the rice did. This is a never ending battle. The doctor says that its just reflux and that she will most likely grow out of it by 6-9 months old. Which means 4-7 more months of carrying around a mini closet in her diaper bag for me and her because after every feeding at least an ounce or two is going to come back up! Is anybody else having issues like this?? If so I would love to know what you guys have tried to lessen the spit up!! And what formula you have tried!! Please comment!
If she is particularly fussy, as in screams bloody murder when you lay her down or she isn't gaining weight well then they have medicine for babies with reflux. I was on two different kinds and a special pre-digested formula when I was a baby.

Well see that's the thing, she's gaining weight normally she was 6 lbs and 8 oz when she was born and she's two months and weights 10 lbs but every time she eats she spits most of it back up.
That's how my son was and they wouldn't do anything for him. Usually they only give meds for babies who are extremely uncomfortable or aren't gaining weight. I had it and still do and both my kids had it as babies. It's tough. Try making the feedings smaller. That helps sometimes. Small frequent feedings prevent the stomach getting too full which lessens the chances of it coming back up
Also, holding your baby over your shoulder for 10 to 15 minutes after feedings can help they formula settle and help with the spit up

Thank you so much! I heard that vibration is good for digest so I sit her in her bouncer for 15 minutes after every feeding

Gerber soothe also has "colic drops" that help with tummy problems and are considered probiotics. My son was the same around that age and I went dairy and soy free because I was told a food sensitivity would cause all the spring up. Turns out he just needed probiotics. You could try those or talk to your doc about reflux meds if she seems to be in pain. My little guy hated them but they might be worth a shot.
Also if you feed her before she is extremely hungry you can take small breaks during the bottle. Sometimes little ones think they are starving so they gobble it all down and then get hit with a upset tummy that can't hold it all down. You can try at every ounce or two to sit her up and see if she will burp a little or at least it will give her a chance to have it settle a bit.
